Form follows understanding
Design begins with understanding a problem and ends with something people can use. Mynd Design works across product, visual and spatial design, and treats access as part of the brief.
Design approach
The work moves from a question to a direction to a made thing. Each step is documented so that decisions can be traced back to what was learned.
Product and interface design
Interfaces are built from tasks: what the person is trying to do and what stands in the way. Flows, layouts and components are tested before they are finished.
Visual systems
A visual system sets colour, type, spacing and imagery as a shared language, so that many pieces made by many hands still read as one.
Spatial concepts
Spatial design considers movement, scale, light and material in physical and virtual environments, starting with how people will use the space.
Access and usability
Access means contrast, text size, keyboard and screen-reader support, and clear language. It is checked throughout, not added at the end.
